An upcoming festival in Adel will feature many events to take part in, and one competition is now accepting registration. 

The 42nd Annual Adel Sweet Corn Festival will take place on Saturday, August 14th this year and a few of the festivities will begin on Friday, August 13th including the 2021 Sweet Corn Princess Contest which takes place at 6:30 p.m.  

The contest is open to all Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District girls who are entering 2nd-4th grade this year. The princess and her court are selected by random drawing. The deadline to register is 6 p.m. August 6th.
