With the 2021-22 school year to begin in less than one month, Greene County Public Health is hosting a couple of immunization clinics for students.
The Back-to-School vaccine clinics will be held for kids 4-6 and 12-18 years-old. For those who are 4-6 years-old, you will receive the required vaccine for school as mandated by state law, as well as screening for lead and hemoglobin and dental/fluoride varnish. Those who are 12-18 years-old, you will receive a tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis vaccine, as well as meningitis, HPV and Hepatitis A vaccines. Additionally, these individuals can also receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Both age groups can also get a free backpack for school.
The clinics will take place August 4th and 11th from 4-7pm at the public health office at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 515-386-3228.
