The Stuart City Council will hear updates on the White Pole Road maintenance project from Stuart City Engineer Forrest Aldrich at tonight’s meeting. 

The Council will then consider for approval to amend an ordinance establishing truck routes and other commercial vehicles at the intersection of Front and Division streets within the City of Stuart. 

The Council Board will also hear from Stuart City Engineer Forrest Aldrich about Karl Chevrolet’s parking lot and the planning and zoning commission’s recommendations. Then, the Council will consider approving a 2021 Community Catalyst grant and award the contract for the Hotel Stuart project.  

City Financial Advisor Chip Schultz will give a presentation about operation financing update and bond issue proposal for rescue and street department equipment. 

Other items the Board will consider approving include resolution authorizing and approving a loan agreement, MidAmerican Energy Franchise Fee, ratifying an ordinance for the division of taxes that were previously levied, and a cigarette permit. The Council will hear updates on the proposals for downtown economic grant business succession plans, the Stuart Police K-9 Unit and they will appoint an individual to the utility board. 

The meeting will take place electronically and in-person at 6:30pm tonight in the Stuart City Hall Council Chambers.
