This week for the Wahl McAtee Tire & Service Center Guthrie County PM Sports Page, WCV Football Coach Jim Lindsay chatted with me about the 2021 season.
2021 will be the second year as the Head Coach for Lindsay. On top of the regular adversity, the team had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I asked him about if he already feels a change this offseason compared to last year. He said, “Oh, absolutely. You know, our guy’s last year were pretty good. We didn’t miss any games due to COVID. Which was fortunate. I know that some schools missed a handful.”
Coach Lindsay would continue to talk about the difference of this year to the 2020 season. “They understand what we want. They understand how our practices work and things like that. The first week or two has been much smoother. It all showed to our guys the importance of having an offseason together and having a summer together because we didn’t get that last year. You can get a lot of work done in that seven, eight, nine week timespan between the end of the school year and the beginning of the fall season.”
The Wildcats and Lindsay have had their first regular offseason heading into 2021. Lindsay and WCV seem ready for the 2021 season.
