Greene County Medical Center recently announced a significant financial commitment towards its staff.

The medical center has created a new salary and benefits structure with a $15 hourly wage, along with eligible staff that are already in the wage range of $15 per hour have received a special pay and merit increase. Interim CEO Brian Benson says as Greene County’s largest employers, these pay increases show the medical center’s investment in its staff and is expected to have a direct impact on the local economy.

The medical center is going beyond its pledge of “Always Here, Always Caring” by “Investing In You.” Chief Medical Officer Dr. Laurie Connolly says there’s a strong tie with someone’s financial health and overall health and well-being. She believes that by recognizing that connection and embracing it is one of the steps towards building a healthier workplace and therefore a healthier community.

The new pay and benefits structure has been in effect since July 4th. Other benefits can be included for eligible medical center employees. Click the link below for more information.
