Greene County has a large and talented football senior class. Among those in that class is Bryce Stalder, who was named the Class 2A District 9 Offensive Player of the year following the 2020 season. Stalder, the Rams’ quarterback, talked about the senior class with Raccoon Valley Radio. “I think our 2022 class has been playing together since we were probably third graders. In football especially, we’ve really stuck together and played together forever, so I think it’s just crazy to be a senior and we’re not going to take anything for granted and leave it all out on the field.”

The Rams host Nevada this Friday in the annual Sports Drink Scrimmage vs. Nevada at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The JVR (mainly freshmen) scrimmage at 5:30 p.m., followed by the JV scrimmage, with the varsity teams concluding the evening. Admission is a sports drink of some kind.

The regular season opens on the road in Guthrie Center for the Rams at 7 p.m. on Aug. 27 vs. ACGC. All Greene County football games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
