The Stuart Public Library recently finished their Summer Reading Program that lasted four weeks.
Stuart Library Director Lisa Sherman says 72 kids participated and they read 258 hours. She says there were a number of activities that happened which included sidewalk chalk, professional entertainer, Blank Park Zoo visit and a free movie at the Stuart Fremont Theatre. Sherman told Raccoon Valley Radio that the kids this year really challenged her.
“By what they wanted to read and Ms. Katy and I were hopping to try and find those books throughout the state, throughout the inner library loan program.”
The Stuart Public Library Summer Reading Program finished up the program with a pool party at the Stuart Aquatic Center.
