This was the last year that a fundraising event will take place for a local organization. 

The Perry Lutheran Homes 3rd Annual Run Through Time 5K Fun/Run took place at the end of July and raised almost $10,000 for elderly citizens throughout the community to assist with costs for needed services and helping furnish safe outdoor gathering places. 

While organizers are calling this year’s fundraiser a success, Perry Lutheran Homes announced this would be the last year for the fun/run. With the introduction, and success, of Project Deliver the Love earlier this year, resources are being directed toward growing that event and helping other communities replicate Project Deliver the Love. 

The next Project Deliver the Love event is scheduled for May 4th, 2022 with a goal to reach 450 elderly citizens in the community. Project Deliver the Love is an event that aims to deliver a personal delivery of a basket containing food items to elderly citizens within a 10-mile radius of Perry.
