The Jefferson Police Department is asking for the public’s help with a theft investigation.

Police Chief Mark Clouse says a younger male and female entered Ace Hardware in Jefferson on August 17th before 6:27pm and allegedly left the store with about $300 in merchandise. Clouse says the suspects left through the back loading dock door of the hardware store in a green 2005 Chrysler 300. He points out when officers ran the license plate, the vehicle was stolen from Fort Dodge.

Clouse notes they are also working with the Fort Dodge Police Department. However, if anyone has information regarding this incident or can identify the suspects, they are to contact the police department at 515-386-2136. Photos of the individuals can be found below.
