This meet has been cancelled due to weather and course conditions in Ames.

 

The number one state ranked DCG boys and the number two state ranked DCG girls open up today with a cross country meet up in Ames, as they will take on the Gilbert Tigers and others schools as well at Iowa State’s cross country course. Both teams will see how their preseason ranked runners will perform, with the boys team having five and the girls team three.

For DCG, this will be the beginning of a stretch where they will participate in some marquee meets this season, ones where they will see the best 3A teams as well as 4A competition as well.

It will be a warm day to race, so runners will need to make sure they are properly hydrated and stretched out before they run today.

The race will begin at 4:30, as DCG will be looking to live up to their preseason ranking, and start their season on the right foot against great competition.
