As the coronavirus pandemic continues to change so do the protocols with the Perry Community School District.

With the new school year and the fall athletic season under way for Perry, sporting events and activities will look more normal this year. Activities Director Scott Pierce says at this time there will be no COVID-19 restrictions in place.

Pierce tells Raccoon Valley Radio some of those restrictions that were in place last year and won’t be in place this year include wearing a face covering when social distancing couldn’t be maintained, capacity limits and vouchers, among others.

Pierce says while they cannot require masks due to state law they will be encouraging masks and social distancing.
