A Thursday morning thunderstorm gave way to live severe weather coverage with Raccoon Valley Radio.

The Severe Weather Action Team went into effect at 8:24am for a severe thunderstorm warning in western Greene County. Hazards with the storm included 60 miles per hour wind gusts. Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio he and some deputies were dispatched in the Scranton area to observe the storm and there were no reports of damage at this time. The warning was allowed to expire at 9:02am.

There were three Raccoon Valley Radio staff, along with Weatherology meteorologists and Sheriff Williams were involved in covering the storm.
