With the physical work completed on the Raccoon Valley Radio towers in Perry, the project looks to be completed this weekend.
The project has included work on all three towers repairing the damage from last year’s derecho storm including replacing the porcelain insulators, replacing the entire east tower, taking the lighting off the east and west towers, as well as replacing the antennas and transmission line for the 99.7FM KDLS signal.
The Wallace Tower crews are officially off site in Perry and the only thing left to be completed is fine tuning the 1310AM KDLS signal by switching it back to high power, which General Manager John McGee says will happen at 11 a.m. this Sunday.
