
Tuesday, August 31st
12:40pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of East Harrison Street.
12:56pm: Sidento Vaca spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring in Jefferson.
1:26pm: An officer assisted a resident in the 200 Block of East Wilcoxway, who had locked themselves out of their residence. The officer was able to gain entry, without causing any damage.
1:55pm: Michelle Cook spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 206 North Oak Street.
3:02pm: The GC ER advised an officer was needed for a Cat Bite at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer learned the animal’s owner had attempted to break up a dispute between two of her cats, and was bitten on the wrist. The animal was placed in a 10 Day Quarantine in the owner’s residence by the officer. The animal is current on rabies vaccinations. The bite was provoked by the owner grabbing the animal from behind during the dispute and does not meet criteria for any action by city ordinances.
3:05pm: An officer investigated a Rear End Accident at Doreen Wilbur Drive and 220 th Street. A 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, owned and operated by Cynthia Dahl of Rippey, was stopped at the posted stop sign on Doreen Wilbur Drive at 220th Street. A 2018 Ram 3500, owned and operated by Jerald Lloyd of Jefferson, struck the Dahl vehicle from behind. The Dahl vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damages, while the Lloyd vehicle had a reported $500.00 in front end damage. Lloyd was cited for, “Fail to Stop in Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”
4:07pm: Duane Dozier reported a tree branch had fallen onto a powerline in the 400 Block of West Park Street, knocking down a power pole. The officer contacted Alliant Energy and stayed on scene until they arrived to take care of the issue. The issue had occurred on private property.
5:11pm: Megan Ball spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue.”
6:23pm: An officer stood by at 206 North Oak Street for a Civil Property Exchange between two parties.
11:36pm: Steve Smith spoke to an officer about a Civil Issue with a vehicle.
Wednesday, September 1st
2:43am: The GC Emergency Room requested an officer at 1000 West Lincoln Way Street to remove an Unwanted Person from the facility. The subject left on their own before the officer arrived.
4:24am: Brian Gibson reported a subject following him in his semi on Elm Street, taking photos of his truck. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle and no laws had been violated.
8:10am: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance and the Medical Examiner in the 1200 Block of Rushridge Road.
12:32pm: An officer removed a bat from the residence at 507 West State Street.
12:40pm: An officer stood by at 206 North Oak Street during a Civil Property Removal.
8:41pm: Gretchen Davis reported two subjects on bicycles with flashlights near Grimmell and Clark Streets. It was reported the pair were looking inside parked vehicles. The officer was assisted by a deputy and the pair were located near Reed and Maple Streets. Officers learned that one of the subjects had an outstanding Jefferson PD Arrest Warrant for, “Domestic Abuse Assault.” Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 41 of Jefferson was arrested for the warrant.
10:10pm: Jeff Mason reported a Suspicious couple with backpacks walking near Chestnut and Wilcoxway. The officer located the subjects and spoke to them. They were walking home from a friend’s house.
