After coming out of week one with a 26-21 victory over the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks last Friday, the Panorama Panthers Football Team heads to Pella tomorrow to face the Pella Christian Eagles.

The Panthers face a familiar opponent in the Eagles as they knocked the Panthers out of the playoffs in the second round last year by a score of 21-19. The Eagles also won their week one matchup against the Des Moines Christian Lions by a score of 56-22.

Panthers Head Football Coach Mike Kauzlarich says he expects the Eagles to play a lot like how they played the Panthers last year but with it being a non-conference game both teams don’t expect to show all of their cards. Kauzlarich hopes to continue to run the ball effectively and control the line of scrimmage which could be the key to coming away with a victory.

“Last year we rushed for over 250 some yards against them in the playoff game and that was something that we didn’t do very well throughout the season was run the ball. This year starting off you know we ran for over 260 yards last Friday and that’s something that our guys are kind of priding themselves on is being able to run the ball and control the line of scrimmage.”

The Panthers will face the Pella Christian Eagles tomorrow and look to improve to 2-0 with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Pella Christian High School.
