After being weathered out of what was the scheduled cross-country season opener, the Greene County teams travel to the West Central Valley Middle School at Redfield today for the Wildcat Classic. Coach Jeff Lamoureux has 10 boys and five girls out for the sport, and he feels the boys could be competitive in most of the meets on the schedule.

In addition to the Rams and host Wildcats, teams scheduled for the West Central Valley meet on Redfield’s northeast side are Ankeny Christian Academy, Audubon, Clarinda Academy, Exira-Elk Horn/Kimballton, I-35 (Truro), Martensdale-St. Marys, Nodaway Valley, Panorama, and Southwest Valley. Starting time is 4:30 p.m.
