Saturday provides more fun at the 2021 “Lets Have Some Country Fun” Guthrie County Fair. 

The day starts bright and early with a working dogs competition for the Iowa Stock Dog Handlers Association at the Horse Arena at 8am. Then the parade will take place at 10am and will be on the south end of town off Highway 25. There will be free face painting and balloon artists for kids at the Event Center from noon to 4pm. There will be a drawing demonstration by Rebecca Scholl at the Art Hall from 4pm to 6pm, and  at 6pm will be a Guthrie County Saddle Club Fun Show at the Horse Arena and a 4-H Pet Show followed by Open Class at the show ring. Saturday’s Grandstand events include a Truck and Tractor Pull with an All Pullers fee of $35 and one hook limit or a $15 Pit Pass. 

Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from the fair today and tomorrow from 10am-6pm and Monday from 10am-3pm.
