A reminder for Greene County 4-H’ers about a deadline to submit record books.

Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says Tuesday, September 7th at 4:30pm is when all record books need to be turned into the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson. She talks about record books and the process volunteers go through to critique them for awards.

“4-H’ers have been working very hard. Some of them document on their record books of all the great things that they’ve accomplished throughout the years. They update it annually, and those are reviewed by an esteemed panel of various volunteers that are interested in 4-H, and (others) have been in 4-H.”

 The awards will be given at separate Greene County 4-H club meetings throughout October.
