For the first time ever the Rams hosted their annual  cross-country meet on a Saturday and this year for the first time since the 1990’s the venue was Jefferson Community Golf Course. Under very hot and humid conditions minus a cloud in the sky, middle school and high school races for girls and boys were held. Greene County was second in the varsity boys’ race to Denison-Schleswig by two points, 62-64. Greene County girls only had two runners and five are needed for a team score.

Coach Jeff Lamoureux reports Logan Woodruff (pictured) led the Rams by finishing in second place overall. He covered the five kilometers (3.1 miles) in 18 minutes, 24 seconds. Jayden Carstensen was ninth in 19:31, followed by Noah Hinote, eleventh in 19:52, Jax Carstsensen, 17th in 20:22, and Gavyn Winters, 25th in 21:19.

Olivia Shannon was twelfth in the girls’ race in 25:06 and Autumn Stevens was thirty-third in 32:12.
