The Greene County boys’ varsity cross-country team has finished in second place in each of the two meets they’ve been in so far, including the Ram Invitational last Saturday at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s team goes to the Panorama Invitational tomorrow west of Panora at the Par 3 Golf Course. This will be the largest meet the Rams have had to this point of the season and it will be on a course where hills are prevalent. Well over 20 schools are scheduled to attend.

Senior Logan Woodruff has been leading the Rams. The top runner on the team as a junior, Woodruff has begun his final high school cross-country campaign by finishing fifth at the West Central Valley meet and second at the Ram Invitational.

Coach Jeff Lamoureux expects plenty of competition tomorrow, for both Woodruff and the boys’ team. Greene County doesn’t have enough girls out for the sport to qualify for a team score.
