A state association has recognized a doctor at the Dallas County Hospital and will be presenting him with an award. 

Dr. Eric Ash will be receiving the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Hospital Hero Award and will be formally recognized at the IHA Awards Ceremony on October 6th with a reception following at the Dallas County Hospital. 

Dr. Ash is a Family Medicine Specialist and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and has been with Dallas County Hospital since 1998. 

Last year, the IHA recognized all hospital employees for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic as well as the derecho but this year they have returned to selecting 10 hospital employees who show the passion and purpose of the community hospital mission.
