As the calendar flipped into October, now is a month that places a special focus on manufacturing and the Perry Chamber of Commerce will celebrate that this week.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the monthly Chamber Coffee for October will be at the Progressive Foundry this Friday. Pasutti says this chamber event will give people an inside look that attendees might not get otherwise.
“A lot of people are very familiar with the names of those businesses but don’t always get the opportunity to see the behind the scenes, take the tour, learn more about those businesses that have been around and so much a part of our community.”
Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event takes place at 8 a.m. Friday. Pasutti says it’s a good opportunity for everyone involved.
“These are businesses that you can’t just walk off the street and (say) ‘Hey can I get a tour’ so this is really a great opportunity for other chamber members in particular to connect with that host business but ultimately it is open for the community as well.”
The Chamber Coffees take place on the second Friday of each month and the November event will be at Raccoon Valley Radio in Perry.
