The Perry City Council approved the selection of a tree maintenance service contractor at their regular meeting Monday. 

The Council approved the selection of Walton Tree Service for qualified tree trimming and projects occurring within the City of Perry for the next three years. Also, the Council approved the agreement for professional services with Walton Tree Service. 

Finally, the Council approved the setting of the 2021 fall yard waste open burning dates with a vote of 3-2 with the main concern being that some Council members would rather not have open burning. The dates have been set for October 31st to November 21st from 10 a.m. to sundown.  

Also, the Council approved setting the rules for the trial yard waste disposal site which will be monitored and recorded by security cameras at all times and those who are found to be illegally dumping will be fined a minimum of $500. 

The Board also approved the submission of an application if the Airport Rescue Grant Program, a solar power generation easement agreement and the Print Fleet management contract for the administrative office.
