Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls cross country will be looking for a strong race today on the road, when they compete at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. They will be taking on multiple teams on both the boys and the girls side, as this will be a test run for this Mustang team with a course they are familiar with.

DCG boys are still the number 1 team in 3A while the girls dropped in the latest poll at 14. The boys team still has six ranked runners with senior Aiden Ramsey still the number one runner in the state, while the girls are represented by Maddie Schmitz who checks in at 6th, and is the second highest ranked freshmen in the state.

The big things for the Mustangs today will be putting up some of their best times of the season, especially with big meets around the corner as they gear up for state competition.

Dallas Center – Grimes will be hoping to make a similar trip for the state race later on this month, and will be hoping to take care of some business against some excellent teams today.
