Another Greene County business has made a significant financial contribution to a non-profit organization’s building project.
Wild Rose Casino and Resort recently donated $100,000 to the Greene County Early Learning Center and their “Growth Happens Here” campaign to build a new $2.1 million facility, which will increase their capacity by 50-percent to 150 children.
Construction is currently underway with the contractor Harold Pike of Ames, for the 9,484-square foot building that will be located adjacent to the current structure, at 306 South Vine Street. Wild Rose Jefferson General Manager Travis Dvorak says the Early Learning Center is an asset to the community and for Greene County families, which they were happy to support the project.
The new facility is anticipated to be open by next spring. Donations are continuing to be accepted by contacting the Early Learning Center Board Co-President Bill Monroe at monroeia@netins.net.
