As motorists in Dallas County make their commutes, they will need to take a detour for a little longer now on a main section of road. 

According to the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department, Xavier Avenue was closed beginning October 6th and will remain closed until 5 p.m. on October 19th and motorists will need to take a detour. The road is closed for repair work on the Northern Natural Gas Line.
