Dallas Center – Grimes football will be looking to put together a strong showing tonight in one of their toughest challenges of the season, when they travel to Council Bluffs to take on Lewis Central. Mustang football comes into the matchup with a 2-5 record and Lewis Central at 5-2.
Both teams are coming off of week 7 victories, with the Mustangs blanking Des Moines Hoover last week 63-0 and Lewis Central defeating Glenwood 42-19
These two teams last faced off in 2019 in the 3A quarterfinals, the game a defensive slug fest and the Mustangs losing by the score of 12-0.
DCG is going to have to win the turnover battle, find some success through the passing game, and play some of their toughest football of the season, as they will have to be disciplined on offense, defense, and in special teams as well. Lewis Central features a team that has a lot of talent on both sides of the football.
Kickoff will be happening at 7 o’clock tonight, as DCG will be looking to put forth a strong showing against one of the best teams from their district.
