Due to popular demand for more farmers markets, a new market starts today in Perry.
Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the Fall Market is on the third Saturday of October, November and December. Pasutti talks about the variety of items, even some that people may think are out of season.
“We are going to have a really nice variety. One of our vendors has a hoop house and so he is able to grow tomatoes and peppers all year round basically. So, when you are thinking about what kinds of things are you going to be able to shop for? It’ll be a really nice mix of produce as well as baked goods and handcrafted items as well.”
The first Fall Market is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Perry Public Library Community Room. As a reminder alternative currency options will be honored at the market as long as they don’t have an expiration date.
