As motorists travel through Perry they may have to find another place to park on a busy road beginning on Monday.

The City of Perry announced that the parking lot at the intersection of 1st Street and Willis Avenue will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning on Monday for the installation of solar canopies and panels. 

Vehicles will not be allowed to park in the city lot and overnight parking restrictions will be suspended in the downtown area during the closure. People who visit Perry City Hall or the Perry Schools Administrative Office can use Willis Avenue or 1st Street for parking. 

Also, the parking lot for Perry Wash-All will not be closed but is for customers only.
