An Urbandale man was killed in a car crash on Interstate-80 near DeSoto this past Sunday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 25-year-old Kenneth Mueller was killed as he was traveling westbound in a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 10th on Interstate-80, near the 115 mile marker, by DeSoto.

A 2019 Freightliner Tractor Trailer had stopped in traffic due to a separate fatal crash and Mueller did not reduce speed and rear ended the tractor trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene.
