Richard Dean Meyers, age 79, of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home in Coon Rapids surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids with Joh officiating. Casket bearers will be Cory Meyers, Tylor Meyers, Jon Meyers, Josh Smith, Eric Hart, and George King.  Honorary casket bearers will be Mark Kennedy, Bill Carrick, Ronnie Beyerink, Tim Patrick, and Mike Smith.  Burial will be in the Union Township Cemetery with military honors by the Coon Rapids American Legion and the Iowa National Guard.

Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids from 5 – 7 P.M. on Monday evening.  Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 – 10:15 A.M. on Tuesday prior to the service.

Richard is survived by his special friend Bev Brown of Arizona; his children and their families: daughter Michelle Carrick (Bill) of Coon Rapids, son Tony Meyers (Lia) of Carroll, and daughter Brenda Meyers (Harley Herron) of Coon Rapids; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Violet Rickman of Des Moines and Jean Borkowski of Manning; a brother-in-law Gary Brown of Slegwick, IA, and several nieces and nephews.
