The 2020 ABC winner Harry Ahrenholtz will present the 2021 recipient

One Jefferson-based organization is seeking nominations for a volunteerism award.

Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Above and Beyond the Call (ABC) Award is given to an individual or a couple who through their personal involvement, their leadership qualities and their unselfish giving of time and talent, have positively affected activities or accomplishments beneficial to the community at large. Board President Jamie Daubendiek invites anyone who believes fits what the award is about to nominate those individuals.

“It really just kind of puts the emphasis on helping the community in any shape, in any form. We have a lot of great people that do a lot of great things. Hopefully this encourages kind of the next generation to give back to the communities. Anything that people are doing that is helping to improve our community and continue to push it forward is definitely a worthy recipient.”   

The deadline for nominations is October 29th at 4pm to the Welcome Center in Jefferson. Copies of the nomination forms can be found at the Welcome Center or by clicking the link below.
