Adair-Casey Elementary and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Junior High School recently released plans for a new playground.

Principal Chris Douglas states that the playground equipment is over 40 years old and has safety concerns. Douglas states that they released the plans for the new playground on October 29th and the reaction from the community has been positive.

“Monday morning a kindergarten came up and asked a teacher why the playground wasn’t outside and he didn’t understand thats its a longer term project so the kids are excited. I’ve heard nothing but tons of great feedback, reaction from parents and students.”

Douglas says the project will start in June and hopefully be done by next school year. The school will be using money from the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy Fund for this project.
