There are a couple of programs coming up with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

Two levels of tumbling classes will be offered, including a beginning tumbling program for pre-kindergarten and first grade, as well as an advanced level class for those in second grade and older. Both programs will take place on Saturdays from November 6th-20th at the Greene County Community Center, with the beginning class from 10-10:40am and the advanced class from 10:45-11:30am. Cost to attend either class is $30 for community center members and $35 for non-members with limited space available.

Lazy Man Triathlon is a six-week adult competition that challenges participants to do 26.2 miles on the walking track, running, treadmill or cross-trainer equipment; 112 miles on a stationary bike and 50,000 meters on a rowing machine. Keep track of your progress by logging it at the community center and the program will be from November 8th-December 12th. Cost to participate is $20, which includes a t-shirt for those that complete the program.

Stop by the community center or contact them at 515-386-3412 to sign up.
