U.S. Congresswoman Cindy Axne

A local Iowa lawmaker has signed onto a bipartisan letter with 24 other members of the U.S. Congress demanding answers for gruesome experiments on animals.

According to the letter, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases used U.S taxpayer dollars to fund cruel experiments on dogs in a foreign country. Congresswoman Cindy Axne has signed onto the letter that was sent to the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Doctor Anthony Fauci demanding answers for these experiments that happened from October 2018 until February of 2019. Congresswomen Axne says she is an animal rights activist and will continue to fight for their rights. She states what they are trying to accomplish with the letter.

“The experiments that were detailed in this report the NIAID says they were not done under their supervision either, so really this letter is all about getting some real answers in writing and that’s what is going on here.”

Axne says she is going to wait to get all the facts before deciding the next step.
