
Former Perry running back Terry Lambert will be formally inducted into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame next Friday night, November 19th, during halftime of the Class 5A state championship in Cedar Falls. School. His accomplishments were many at both the high school and collegiate levels. Former Perry Activities Director Tom Lipovac nominated Lambert for the distinguished award.
Terry enjoyed uncommon success on the football field while playing tailback and defensive back at Perry High School. He was instrumental in three special years of football for the Bluejays. Terry and his 1980 Bluejay teammates posted the first undefeated season for Perry since 1936 after finishing winless in
1979. He also excelled in baseball and track and field. Terry continued his athletic career at the University of Dubuque. While his football achievements are most remembered, Terry also contributed greatly to the Spartan baseball team.
Lambert rushed for over 2000 yards his senior year after rushing for 1011 yards during his junior campaign.
