If people are interested in learning more about pasture management, an upcoming event in Adel will provide that opportunity. 

Dallas County Extension and Outreach will be hosting a pasture walk at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Dallas County Farm with DMACC farm managers, ag instructors and ISU extension specialists. Ag Program Coordinator Aleta Cochran talks more about the event.

“We are actually going to go out onto their farm looking at the pasture. Their managers will give us an overview of the farm and the pasture management, and then our beef specialist Chris Clark and our agronomist Meaghan Anderson will be sharing information about the pasture itself.”

The program will run from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday. There is no cost to attend the program and no registration is required. The event is also open to the public and to learn more you can go here.
