brittany-gunn-send-off

A reminder that today is a public event for a Greene County native to be a part of a national competition.

In 2019, Brittany Gunn was crowned Miss Rodeo Iowa. However, as she started her reign in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic quickly cancelled most of her public engagements, including the Miss Rodeo America pageant. Because of this unprecedented event of the pandemic, Gunn was allowed to retain the Miss Rodeo Iowa crown and will be leaving to compete for Miss Rodeo America.

A send-off event is happening later today at 2pm at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. Free-will donations will be accepted upon entry, along with attendees bidding on silent auction items and you can meet Gunn and she will also have her wardrobe for people to see. The competition will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from November 28th-December 5th.
