Thursday, November 4th

11:43am: An Officer was dispatched to Regency Park, 100 Ram Drive to take a report in reference to an allegation of abuse. The allegation has been reported to the appropriate State agency for investigation.

5:53pm: An Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Cedar Street and Lincolnway. As a result of the traffic stop, Omega Sang of Jefferson was issued a citation for “Excessive Speed”

7:00pm: An Officer was dispatched to the intersection of 220 th Street and North Mulberry for a report of a passenger car having rear ended a semi-truck pulling a trailer. No injuries were reported from the accident. The scene investigation showed a “2007 Dodge Charger SXT was being operated eastbound on 220 th Street by Thomas Kivlahan of Boone near the intersection with Mulberry Street. To the east of this vehicle was a semi-truck / trailer being operated by Roger Beckman of Carroll. The semi was waiting to make a turn to be northbound onto Mulberry Street. Kivlahan’s vehicle failed to stop in a safe distance. The front of the Charger contacted the rear of the semi’s trailer. Approximately $5000 of damage was caused to the trailer. Approximately $8000 of damage was caused to the Charger. As a result of the investigation, Thomas Kivlahan was issued a citation for “Fail to Stop within an Assured Clear Distance Ahead”

9:10pm: Austin O’Connell of Jefferson reported his ex-girlfriend was not allowing him to leave his property in the 300 block of West Lincolnway. The Officer responded and helped to deescalate the situation.

11:58pm: Sparky’s, 606 US 30 East, reported a suspicious vehicle having been parked in their lot most of the day. They requested an Officer check on the vehicle. The Officer checked on the vehicle and found it was unoccupied. Sparky’s was advised of this and said it could remain in the lot for the remainder of the night.

Friday, November 5th

6:09am: David Sayre reported a male walking on 220 th Street, near Mulberry. The officer did not locate the reported subject.

9:41am: Lynne Pritchard reported receiving a Threatening Text Message from an Unknown caller from Chicago. The officer advised her to block the number.

10:25am: A Traffic Stop in the 500 Block of East Lincoln Way Street resulted in Jillian Anglemeyer of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

3:04pm: Brad Tronchetti reported a Stray Dog at 700 South Elm Street. The officer captured the dog and placed it in the Animal Holding Facility.

6:34pm: Brittany Smith reported a Stolen Enclosed Trailer from 304 North Chestnut Street. The unregistered trailer contained items from the residence, as Smith was moving out of the residence. She later called and advised her landlord had removed the trailer from the property and she no longer needed assistance from the officer.

8:30pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop on a Speeding Vehicle at 220th and Orchard Ave. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Humberto Garcia (37) of Rio Grande City, TX for, “OWI 2nd Offense – Aggravated, and Excessive Speed (72 in 55) – Simple.”

9:51pm: HyVee reported a male came in the business at 106 West Washington Street and again attempted to use a Stolen Checkbook to purchase items. The male is part of a Boone County Criminal Investigation, and the information was forwarded to the Boone Officer. The store did not accept the check and suffered no loss.

Saturday, November 6th

1:07am: Linda Cherryholmes reported her outside light came on and she heard noises in her garage. The officer did not locate any evidence of anyone being in the property.

12:33pm: Gayle Pike reported a Stray Cat in the 200 Block of South West Street.

2:22pm: A caller spoke with an officer about neighborhood cats entering her yard and urinating on her deck furniture. The officer advised of City Ordinances that could be used to end this issue. The caller wanted to talk it over with her husband before moving forward.

6:49pm: A Hospice Nurse requested a Welfare Check on a patient in the 300 Block of East Central Ave, after not being able to reach them by phone. The officer learned the subject was hospitalized and gave the information to the nurse.

8:06pm:Valarie Levy reported a screen door appeared to have been tampered with at 701 North Cedar Street #29. The officer is investigating.

Sunday, November 7th

10:14am: Boone County reported a westbound semi on 220 th Street, was losing liquid from the trailer on the roadway. The officer did not locate the vehicle come through Jefferson.

10:37am: Jill Morton advised her two dogs had been involved in a fight and one of the animals had bitten her as she attempted to separate them. The officer verified the animal was current on Rabies Vaccinations. The animal will be put down, per the owner.

11:08am: Diane Kennedy reported a Stray Dog in the 400 Block of East Park Street. The officer searched the area, but was unable to locate the reported animal.

12:13pm: A Traffic Stop near Grimmell and Central resulted in Jodi Mitchell of Grand Junction being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:25pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Abby Hoyt of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:32pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Michael Houge of Estherville being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

2:47pm: A Traffic Stop on 220th Street, near Orchard Ave. resulted in Fransico Valles Roman of OK. being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

5:08pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 400 Block of Greenewood Road.

6:17pm: Kristina Greene reported a Domestic Argument occurring near Lincoln Way and High Streets. The officer arrived and spoke with a group of subjects in the area. He learned that family

members had been involved in a Verbal Argument, but had left the area. No further assistance was needed.

6:51pm: Shawn Bennett requested officers at 506 South Wilson Avenue for a Domestic Fight in progress at the residence. The officer interviewed numerous subjects located at the residence. The officer arrested Bradlee Beadle, 51 of Jefferson, and charged him with, “Domestic Abuse Assault 1st Offense – Simple.”
