Greene County head football coach Caden Duncan talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about his recent honor being named Class 2A District 8 Coach of the Year. The Rams were 5-0 in winning the district and all five games were decided by 41 or more points.
The coach said, “I get the award, but it’s because of the players and my assistant coaches. As we’ve talked before my job is mostly to put people in the right spots wherever I can on whatever side of the ball I’m calling. This year I called both offense and defense and I’m appreciative of the efforts of our players and our assistant coaches. It’s kind of nice to get some recognition from your fellow coaches in the district, but it’s definitely an award that goes to the team and my assistants.”
The Rams were 8-2 overall and ranked as high as third in Class 2A.
