The Greene County High School Drama Department is gearing up for this weekend’s fall play.

“The High Schooler’s Guide to the Galaxy” will take place Friday and Saturday at 7pm at the high school auditorium. Sophomore Ava Schilling plays the editor, along with Fifi and Victoria and she talks about the play that is based on the book, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

“The author and editor of this book that they wrote, trying to help some students figure out how to correct some mistakes they might make in the first few months as being a freshman in high school. The ‘author’ and ‘editor’ are two set in stone characters that appear in about every other scene. But the rest of the characters vary from scene to scene, because they’re all like little snippets of their own little stories from scene-to-scene-to-scene, except for the first and last, which have the same carryover characters.”

There are 17 students in the cast, which is directed by Darren Jackson. Tickets are $7 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the high school or at the door.
