ADM boys basketball had a coaching change during the offseason when they tabbed Trevor Mickelson as the new coach for the 2021-22 season, as the Tigers will look for more success.

Mickelson had been a lead assistant for the Waukee Warriors since the 2012 season and served as the offensive coordinator as well for the program. Offenses under Michelson’s leadership have ranked in the top 5 of class 4A in field goal percentage in 6 of the last 7 years along with top 5 in assists 5 of the last 7 years. Mickelson was apart of the 2020-21 Waukee Warriors team that was a state champion at the class 4A level.

Mickelson will be taking over for an ADM team that finished 10-13 in the 2020-21 season, one that had eleven seniors on the roster. The Tigers are projected to be returning two starters along with key role players as well.

The Tigers will have their first practice of the season next Monday, and will open up their schedule on Tuesday, November 30th when they travel to Grimes to take on the DCG Mustangs.
