As the Panorama Panthers boys and girls basketball teams are preparing for their upcoming season, both teams will be looking to replicate their scoring outputs from a year ago.
Both the boys and girls Panthers basketball teams found success last year both posting double digit wins while sporting single digit losses which could be attributed to their success scoring points throughout the season last year.
For the girls side the Panthers were averaging 58 points per game last year while their opponents only managed 35 points on average per game. That 23 point differential in scoring led the Panthers girls to an overall record of 19-5 last season. Of the games played last year the Panthers girls score more than 60 points in 12 of the games they played and in those games they won all 12 of them. Of the five games they lost last year two of them were by single digits.
For the Panorama Panthers boys team they averaged 61 points per game while their opponents averaged 51 points per game in a season that saw the Panthers boys go 18-5. The Panthers boys were also extremely competitive last season even in games where the outcome wasn’t in their favor as they lost by single digits in three of their five losses last season and two of those games were decided by one and two points respectively.
Both of the teams may look different when they head out on the court for the first time this season as the Panthers boys lost 13 seniors to the class of 2021 and the Panthers girls team lost three girls to the class of 2021 but will return one of their top offensive weapons in senior Payton Beckman.
Regardless of who is out on the court for the Panorama Panthers boys and girls basketball teams this year it looks to be a competitive season with both teams having playoff ambitions.
