The Paton-Churdan School District is hosting its Veterans Day program tomorrow.

Organizer Makayla Sparr says the program will take place at 9am in the gym in Churdan. The high school choir will perform the National Anthem, the fourth graders will sing “God Bless America” and several elementary students will sing “How Do You Tell a Veteran Thank You.” The keynote speaker will be John Lonegran with the Churdan American Legion Post #196, along with several student council members.

Sparr notes that they will also recognize the seven local veterans that passed away in the last year and students will give veterans in attendance “thank you” letters and crafts. Finally, there will be a short video of the dedication ceremony for the Churdan American Legion Post namesake Edward English, whose photo is on permanent display in the south lobby of the Greene County Courthouse.

Tomorrow’s Veterans Day program is free and open to the public.
