Paton-Churdan and Greene County have shared athletic programs for some time and continue to do so. Jefferson-Scranton and Paton-Churdan first shared athletics in 1988 when football became the first shared sport.
Greene County Activities Director Todd Gordon updated Raccoon Valley Radio with the current agreement. “Of course we just got done with football, and we do cross-country. Wrestling is one we do, and we do have four, at last count, Paton-Churdan middle school boys coming down to wrestle. In the Spring, we’ll get into golf and soccer, and in Summer we share baseball and softball as well.” Gordon said springtime is when the sharing agreements are set up for the following school year.
