As the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team prepares for the upcoming regular season, there will be some focuses to continue the winning culture for the program.

The Panthers girls basketball team has been historically very successful as dating back to the 2006-2007 season the program has been historically good winning double digit games in each season and only losing 61 games dating back in those 15 seasons.

Panorama Panthers girls basketball coach Kylee Boettcher says one of the focuses will be shooting the ball as well as stressing the importance that having a great offense comes from having a good defense as well to create opportunities to score more points.

“We stress a lot about a great offense comes from a great defense and so we have increased our pressure defensively. Statistically, you look at the defense and the numbers as far as steals go and defensive rebounds, every game we are trying to amp that up and just try to create some more opportunities offensively to score more points.”

The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team is gearing up for its first regular season action next week when they take on the Mount Ayr Raiders beginning at 6 p.m. November 30th right at home in Panora at Panorama High School.
