
Dallas Center – Grimes girls basketball will be back on the court this upcoming week, and through two games they are 1-1, with a victory over Ballard and a loss against North Polk.
The leading scorer through two games has been junior Emma Miner, who was able to put up 15.5 points per game, with junior Finley Fitzgerald second on the team in scoring at 12.5 points per game.
Sophomore Vanessa Bickford is in the lead in assists with an average of 4.5 assists per game, and is tied for the lead in team rebounds with Miner with 3.5.
They have shot the basketball well from the 3 point line, at 17/45 from deep through two games. They have made more threes on the season than twos as the team as only hit 15 shots in the two point arc this year.
DCG will have three games upcoming this week with a matchup against Adel-Desoto-Minburn at home on Tuesday, home against Oskaloosa on Friday, and a neutral site game on Saturday, December 4th against Benton in Johnston.
Mustang basketball will look to get back on track as they rely on key players.
