The Little Charger Early Learning Center saw a great turnout at their “Little Charger Dueling Piano Fundraiser.”
Guthrie Center Chamber of Commerce President Shannon Neff-Muell says there were about 200 people in attendance and raised just under $1,800. Neff-Muell states this is a good first step to getting a new facility.
“ Yeah, so we are looking at we’ve got a huge need here in Guthrie Center for child care spaces, and so we know our existing building no longer meets those needs, both from a capacity standpoint as well as just from a functionality standpoint. So, we will be building a new building and we’ll obviously need to raise a pretty significant amount of money in order to make that happen.”
Neff-Muell says the next step is knocking on doors and asking individuals and businesses to make a capital donation to the project.
