An Ogden woman was recently sentenced to probation for a couple of incidents in Jefferson.

According to court documents, 36-year-old Jessica Jo Peterson pled guilty to a Class C Felony for second degree burglary, a Class D Felony for third degree burglary, and two serious misdemeanors for her first offense for possession of a controlled substance and fifth degree theft. All prison sentences were suspended and she was placed on probation for 2-5 years, with all sentences to run concurrently with another case from Boone County.

The charges stem from two incidents that took place last December. Jefferson Police Officers responded to a burglary call on December 8th at Walton Woods Community Center. Officers found the interior office door was damaged and several items were taken. Peterson also left her name on the Christmas list, which she is not a member of and would not have access to that list. The other incident took place on December 9th. Peterson entered the former Greene County Middle School, before the school day started, and took items from the locker room. She also entered the now former administrative building and was later arrested there.

Peterson was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs, court appointed attorney fees and a probation fee.
