The Perry Booster Club Tinsel Trot had a successful event this past weekend and they are continuing to raise money for school activities.
Vice President Joe Tuhn says the Tinsel Trot was just one of the ways the Booster Club helps to raise money for activities throughout the school district. He explains some things they’ve raised money for.
“Every year the Booster Club puts money towards new uniforms for one league or one activity. There is going to be some new boards put up in the commons area at the high school that’s going to be a new record board.”
Tuhn tells Raccoon Valley Radio if something has to do with the school the Booster Club may be interested in helping the cause if they all agree on it, including with high school sports programs.
“One of the most recent ones that we contributed money towards would be for the girls basketball program for some stools for the players to come out and sit on, put stickers on, decorate, have autographs, little memorabilia keepsake that they get to keep when they graduate.”
One such example of fundraising is the upcoming Perry High School Booster Club Night taking place on December 17th during the Perry Jayettes basketball game which will feature a silent cake auction, Santa and Bluejay apparel sales.
